I have been making Rag Rugs & Placemats in my rural Iowa home for the past 25 years. Was trying to find a hobby that allowed me to manufacture and sell a finished product. I have sold at craft fairs, celebrations and other venues since 1986, but have decided in introduce my products on line. Retirement has given me more time to weave rugs and placemats that I would like to share with a broader customer base. I strive for a quality product that will give my customers a "one of a kind" rug or placemat with a long life.



All Rug, Placemats & Runners are made from recycled denim - bedding and other cotton and synthetic materials. Seams and flaws are removed then reconstructed into the finished products. All are reversible and come ready to use. Rugs make an excellent transition from carpet to other flooring, entry areas, porches and in front of appliances. Care should include: cold water wash and line drying for the longest life.

All rugs are 27" wide the length measured from hem to hem does not include fringe. The fringe on all rugs is approximately 4". The warp (strings) are placed 12 per inch or 336 per rug in 27". This makes a very strong and tight rug. I currently use a double border on each side that is Grey in color. Rugs are tied with a square knot, 42 per end makes for a securely knotted product. Matching rugs, Special Orders and specific lengths are available, limitations would include the raw materials needed and time schedule.

Placemats are 12" wide and 16" long usually in sets of 4 to 6. These are made from new or nearly new material. Fringe is approximately 3" long and can be trimmed to desired length. Custom orders are available, Colors and material choice are my only limitations.



Runners are custom made to order, suitable for fireplace mantles, chest of drawers and table runners. All are 12" wide: length varies by your order.
